The opening of the plant in San Joaquín, Venezuela in 1968 marked ALPLA’s first step outside of the European market. In 2018 the number of plants reached 20 across South America, 10 of which are in-house operations.
Louveira in Brazil is also home to the region’s technical center, which is responsible for all project developments. ALPLA South America offers its clients complete solutions from product design, modelling and simulation, process technology to tool construction. Around 2,000 employees produce high-quality packaging for several markets including home care, beauty care, beverages, food and lubricants. The most prominent technologies include injection moulding-PET, stretch blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding caps.
