ALPLA se introdujo en el mercado rumano en el año 2011 inaugurando unas instalaciones de producción en Pantelimon. En plena expansión de sus capacidades de producción en Europa del este, ALPLA adquirió Star East PET, una empresa con sede en Brasov especializada en la producción de preformas de PET para bebidas y productos alimenticios y no alimenticios tanto para clientes locales como internacionales. Entre ambas plantas se producen al año más de 1 millón de preformas. En el año 2017, ALPLA continuó su expansión en Rumanía inaugurando una operación propia en Timisoara. Ahora, unos 180 empleados suministran soluciones para marcas de múltiples segmentos de mercado.

In 2018, ALPLA expanded its presence in Romania through the purchase of ARGO S.A. with the addition of the Berceni factory near Bucharest, making four factories in Romania. Currently, around 50 employees focus on product groups ranging from PET, PP and PE bottles and canisters to PET and PE jars. The main addressed markets include healthcare, crop protection and food supplements, which increases the customer product portfolio for multinational groups as well as traditional local companies.
