Regional Overview

In 2007, ALPLA took its first step into the Chinese market when it opened its first plant in Tianjin. Since then, ALPLA has been working to bring the most cutting-edge packaging systems and solutions to China, one of the most vibrant and prosperous markets in the world.

The region’s seven plants serve market segments such as food, milk & dairy, beauty care, home care and oil & lubricants not only in China but also in north-east Asia. The core technologies include extrusion blow moulding, stretch blow moulding and injection moulding.

The regional headquarters in Shanghai opened in 2015 and is home to the Future Corner, an Austro-Sino apprenticeship programme. The dual training programme was launched in 2013 to provide optimal training for ALPLA employees in China and thus guaranteeing a high-quality education. Here young people can learn about careers in metals and plastic technology.
