Northern Africa

In 2016, ALPLA entered into the Northern Africa market through a partnership agreement with the Egyptian Taba Group in a form of a joint venture, which is now operating under the name ALPLA TABA.

Taba was founded in 1988 in Egypt and has two locations, one in El Obour and one in 10^th of Ramadan, close to Cairo. The company has over 30 years of experience in producing plastic bottles and closures for international customers in the pharmaceutical, home care, beauty care, food and beverage industries. 

Today, around 400 people work at ALPLA TABA. The partnership brings together experience as well as the expansion of market presence in Africa and the Middle East in pharmaceutical packaging.
