In-House Production

In-house production drastically reduces CO2e emissions

ALPLA GROUP operates nearly half of all sites as in-house operations directly at our customers' businesses. The first of these operations was opened 1985 in Italy. Thanks to our years of experience, it is now possible to quickly set up an in-house facility. Following international standards, we can support our customers securely and efficiently in difficult regions.

This form of cooperation enables various environmental and economic benefits. There is no need for transportation or transport packaging, while staff resources are also reduced. We can respond flexibly and quickly to changes in production. Thanks to our extensive partnerships, we have also developed award-winning innovations in cooperation with our customers.

In-house production doesn’t just minimise costs and enables a close and mutually successful collaboration between us and our customers but also avoids tonnes of greenhouse gases.

In 2023, 68 in-house plants saved around 157,000 tonnes of CO2e. This is equivalent to:

How did this avoidance of 157,000 tonnes of CO2e come about? ALPLA in-house plants can be found directly in or right next to our customers’ facilities. Here, packaging is literally produced right next door to the bottling facilities. This has many advantages, such as:

- Reduction of carbon emissions because of eliminated truck transportation

- Reduction of the outer packaging needed for shipment

- Customized logistics solutions, automated storage

- Minimum storage space required

- Cooperation flexibility, further developments are accelerated
