Tailored Packaging for Oil & Lubricants - Combining Durability, Safety, and Innovation

Group shot of the Oil and Lubricants market segment manufactured by ALPLA

Innovative Packaging Solutions for the Oil and Lubricants Market

The oil and lubricants market requires robust and user-friendly packaging. Key features include durable materials, viewing windows for easy fill level checks, and secure, leak-proof closures that facilitate convenience and safety. Additionally, advanced anti-counterfeiting measures are essential for product security. ALPLA not only meets these specific needs but also offers a broad range of custom packaging solutions, providing tailored innovations to enhance product protection and functionality.

Custom Packaging Solutions

Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) technologies at ALPLA for HDPE

EXTRUSION BLOW MOLDING (EBM) FOR HDPE

In Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) specifically for HDPE, the process begins by extruding the HDPE resin into a parison - a hollow tube of molten plastic. This parison is then placed in a mold where it is clamped and inflated to take the shape of the mold cavity. A distinctive feature of products made by this process, particularly for HDPE, is the visible weld at the bottom of the bottle.

Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM) technologies for PET at ALPLA

INJECTION STRETCH BLOW MOLDING (ISBM) for PET

In PET Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM), preforms are first produced by injection molding. In the following stretch blow molding step, these preforms are reheated and stretched into the final bottle shape in the blow mold. A key feature of PET bottles produced in this way is the visible injection point at the base.

Labeling Options

We offer innovative labeling solutions from Heat Transfer, In-Mold Labeling (IML) to Pressure Sensitive Labeling. Heat Transfer ensures a seamless, vibrant finish using heat and pressure. IML integrates the label during molding for superior durability and resistance. Pressure Sensitive Labeling uses adhesive-backed labels for quick, flexible application on various containers.

Sustainability

Sustainability at ALPLA

We are dedicated to Sustainability, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and material reuse. We have significantly increased our use of recycled HDPE, raising the share of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material from 4.4% in 2018 to 15.7% in 2022. These efforts underscore our commitment to a circular economy and reducing our environmental impact while delivering innovative, high-quality packaging solutions.
